The HANDBOOK

Hello again Lovlies!

I’m back with one of my holy grails that completely changed my life: The Curly Girl Handbook by Lorraine Massey!

The Curly Girl Handbook

This was one of the first pieces I picked up before starting my transition. It’s basically a handy instruction booklet that goes into detail about identifying your curl type; how to style each curl type using the “Curly Girl Method“; trimming curls; suitable products to use, as well as recommended homemade recipes; and so much more that we as curly girls need to know that will make managing our curls easier and more fun.

It’s really not as difficult as we all think. The booklet clearly and easily explains how to tame unruly curls and emphasizes the no-poo method, which is basically using little to no shampoo!! Who knew that this was partially the answer to so many of my questions? I do have to admit, that I do not follow all of Lorraine’s instructions and am trying to find my own unique routine that suits my needs best, but for the most part, this has made it so much easier and, most of all, informative!

If you would like to know more about this handy little holy grail of mine, leave me a comment and I will be sure to write back. Be sure to follow my blog for more on my curly hair transition! 😉

Till next time Lovlies

Yours truly,

Courtney xx

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super
long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what
I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything.
Do you have any helpful hints for novice blog writers?
    I'd certainly appreciate it.

Hello there :) I apologise for the late reply! Been crazy busy on my side! Thank you so much!! :) Believe it or not but I am very new at this too. What helped me was researching different blogs; going through tutorials on YouTube and speaking to people who have set up blogs of their own. If you have friends/family who have started a blog, that would be of much help, I can promise you :)
I hope this was somewhat helpful! :)
      Have a great day xx
